THE EXHIBITION »FLUID STATES«, CO-CURATED WITH THE FEMINIST ART AND LITERATURE MAGAZINE KORALLE, PRESENTS SELECTED WORKS BY FIVE ARTISTS. THEIR WORKS EXPLORE THE INTERSTICES OF IDENTITY, TRANSFORMING PERSONAL AND OBSERVATIONAL EXPERIENCES INTO VISUAL NARRATIVES ABOUT BODIES, TRANSFORMATION, AND CONNECTION.

BASED IN VIENNA, IN HER WORK MALA KOLUMA CREATES SPACE FOR THE COMPLEXITY, FREEDOM, VULNERABILITY, AND STRENGTH OF QUEER AND FLINTA* INDIVIDUALS AND THEIR LIVED REALITIES.

In close collaboration with artists, photographer Mala Kolumna creates images with the aim of adding a visual layer to complex identities, music, and thoughts.

Her works are on view in our exhibition »Fluid States«, co-curated with the feminist art and literature magazine KORALLE. On display at uppers & downers until September 30, 2025.
